What Standards are Used for Simply Savory Gluten Free products?
Gluten free can be different things to different people, but here at Simply Savory Foods, Gluten free means Gluten free by the strictest standards. The FDA requires foods labeled Gluten free to have less than 20 parts per million (ppm) gluten, and the GFCO and other groups providing gluten free certification use a standard of less than 10 ppm gluten.
Simply Savory adheres to the 10 ppm standard, and we regularly use Elisa test packages to verify that our products meet the strictest gluten free standard. We only order products that are certified Gluten Free, have lot numbers that allow us to recall any products that might get contaminated.
